Building High-Impact Dashboards Using Base SAS® Software PDF
Course Overview
This 3-hour instructor-led course provides attendees with valuable programming techniques on how to build high-impact and powerful dashboards that display essential “point-in-time” information with a purpose. Attendees learn essential dashboard design techniques that extract data from available data sources; strategies on the placement and display of essential data, information, reports, tables, statistics, metrics, and images; and basic design principles for creating custom content that displays on a single screen.
Essential design and programming techniques are presented to build highly visual, exciting, and high-impact 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-panel static and interactive dashboards using Base SAS® software. Attendees learn how to create high-impact dashboards with a purpose using the DATA step; PROC FORMAT; PROC PRINT; PROC REPORT; PROC MEANS; PROC SQL; Output Delivery System (ODS); SAS macro language; Statistical Graphics procedures: PROC SGPLOT, PROC SGSCATTER, PROC SGPANEL, and PROC SGRENDER; PROC TEMPLATE; and Graphics Template Language (GTL).
Course 2: SAS® Fuzzy Matching Programming Techniques (Tuesday Afternoon; February 20th, 2018; 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm)
SAS® Fuzzy Matching Programming Techniques PDF
Course Overview
Data comes in all forms, shapes, sizes and complexities. Stored in files and data sets, SAS® users across industries know all too well that data can be, and often is, problematic and plagued with a variety of issues. One issue, in particular, stems from the complexities associated with linking, or matching, observations from two or more data sets where a common unique identifier, referred to as the key, is not reliable or does not exist. But, what happens when a unique identifier such as a subscriber name, mailing address, and/or email address is misspelled, has one or more characters transposed, or is partially and/or incorrectly recorded?
This 3-hour instructor-led course introduces attendees with what fuzzy matching is, the variety of data issues users have to deal with, popular data cleaning and organization techniques, the application of functions such as SUBSTR, SCAN, INDEX, COMPRESS, COMPBL, COMPARE, TRANSLATE, CAT, SOUNDEX (for phonetic matching), SPEDIS, COMPLEV, COMPGED, and an assortment of programming techniques used to resolve key identifier issues and to successfully merge, join and match less than perfect or messy data.
Course 3: ODS EXCEL® Programming Techniques By Example (Tuesday Evening; February 20th, 2018; 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm)
ODS EXCEL® Programming Techniques By Example PDF
Course Overview
This 3-hour instructor-led course provides attendees with valuable programming techniques on how to build high-impact Excel® files and workbooks with a purpose using SAS® Base software. SAS software is the “gold” standard for robust and reliable data access, manipulation, analytics, analysis, reporting, and data discovery. Microsoft Excel® is the most widely used software in the world.
This popular course illustrates how to leverage the Output Delivery System (ODS) Excel destination to create customized, and exciting, output and results in Microsoft Excel; apply ODS Excel options; customize output and results with SAS-supplied styles; add background images and traffic lighting to Excel files and workbooks; build interactive drill-down Excel workbooks; and construct SAS and ODS Excel code to share data, tables, statistics, images, reports, and results to create robust Microsoft Excel files and workbooks.
The location for all three instructor-led training courses is the: Holiday Inn Express Suites Belmont, 1650 El Camino Real, Belmont, California 94002.
The cost for each instructor-led course is $189.
